Doug Leath

Doug Leath has been with the Peace River Manasota Regional Water Supply Authority for over 32 years. He currently holds the position of Facilities Senior Manager and is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and maintenance activities at the Water Treatment Plant. Prior to his current position, Doug served as an Instrument Technician for 12 years before holding the position of Maintenance Supervisor for 19 years.

Doug has an AS Degree in Electronics Technology from United Electronics Institute and an AA Degree in pre-engineering studies from Florida Southwestern State College.  He is also a Level 3 Certified Control System Technician (CCST) through the International Society of Automation (ISA).

He is a member of the American Water Works Association, Florida Water & Pollution Control Operator’s Association, and a senior member of the ISA.

A proud veteran of the U.S. Army, Doug and his wife Tess have been married for 32 years and have two sons who both currently attend the University of Florida in Gainesville. Although a lifelong FSU fan, he still roots for the Seminoles but is extremely proud of their accomplishments at one of the best public universities in the nation.
